Arrival in Addis Ababa
On the first day of your journey, you will arrive at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport in the morning. After clearing customs, you will meet your guide, who will assist you with your transfer to the hotel for check-in. Once settled, the afternoon will be dedicated to visiting the National Museum of Ethiopia. Here, you will have the opportunity to see the famous Lucy fossil, one of the oldest hominid skeletons ever discovered, and learn about the rich history of Ethiopia. In the evening, you will enjoy a welcome dinner at a traditional Ethiopian restaurant, where you can savor local cuisine while enjoying cultural performances that showcase the country’s vibrant heritage.

Addis Ababa to Mizan Teferi
The second day begins with a morning flight to Jimma, which takes approximately one hour. Upon arrival, you will drive to Mizan Teferi, a charming town nestled in the lush landscapes of southwestern Ethiopia. In the afternoon, you will check in at your hotel, where you can relax and prepare for the adventures ahead. The evening will include dinner at the hotel, during which you will receive a briefing about the upcoming days, outlining the cultural experiences and photographic opportunities that await you.

Mizan Teferi to Suri Territory
On the third day, you will embark on an exciting journey to the Suri tribe’s territory. The morning will involve a 5 to 6-hour drive through stunning landscapes and traditional villages, providing plenty of opportunities for photography along the way. During your travels, you will enjoy an en-route picnic lunch amidst the beautiful surroundings. Upon arrival in Suri territory, you will meet with local leaders and community members, beginning your photographic exploration focused on their traditional practices and daily life. In the evening, you will settle in for the night with a luxurious camping experience, complete with comfortable tents featuring showers, bathrooms, electricity, and fridges. The best camping chefs will prepare delicious meals, ensuring that you have a delightful culinary experience while surrounded by nature

Full Day with the Suri Tribe
The fourth day will be a full day dedicated to engaging with the Suri tribe. In the morning, you will capture their daily activities, rituals, and unique body art, with opportunities to participate in traditional ceremonies if available. In the afternoon, you will continue your photographic journey, focusing on portraits and landscapes while interacting with community members. As the day comes to a close, you will return to your lodge for dinner, where you can share your experiences and photographs from the day with your fellow travelers.

On the fifth day, you will have the opportunity to spend the day capturing more images, focusing on the Suri’s artistic expressions and lifestyle. This will allow you to delve deeper into their culture and traditions, enhancing your photographic collection and understanding of their way of life & lifestyle.

Depart from Surma to Mizan Teferi
As your time with the Suri tribe comes to an end, you will depart for Mizan Teferi. The journey back will provide you with one last chance to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the region. In the evening, you will check in at your hotel in Mizan and relax after your adventures

Return to Addis Ababa
On the final day of your journey, you will start with a morning drive from Mizan to Jimma, which takes approximately six hours by road. After reaching Jimma, you will board a flight back to Addis Ababa. Upon arrival in Addis, you will transfer to Addis Ababa Bole International Airport for your departure flight, concluding your enriching photographic tour in Ethiopia.
